Tony is one of the original, and current, authors of the Rough Guide to New Zealand and is now preparing the 7th edition. He also writes about New Zealand in national newspapers, magazines, on websites, and talks about it on the radio. To avoid becoming a complete bore he contributes reviews to publications such as Time Out, provides articles on other subjects for national newspapers and magazines and some years ago originated the Tip-Top series, to which he has contributed guidebooks on fish and chip shops and British greasy spoons. In his spare time Tony writes short stories, comedy material and poetry, travels, meanders his native Suffolk, cooks frighteningly agricultural meals, drinks Adnams Ale in his local, swims like a fish, regularly fails to complete cryptic crosswords and occasionally canoes. |
